Major Functions:
Provide effective communication between the school, the district, the student’s family, and appropriate public agencies
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to translate both written and verbal communication from English to Spanish and Spanish to English
- Provide interpretations as required by phone conference or in person
- Translate district-wide letters and documents
- Proofread other translations and provide feedback
- Serve as a liaison between school and community
- Serve as interpreter for all Marshall County School curriculum departments
- Cultivate and model a respectful working and learning environment
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to read, write and speak in English and Spanish fluently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and able to multi-task
- Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or district patrons
- Exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work harmoniously with others
